Famous Rapper Yo yo Honey Singh’s Wife Filed a case against him.

 

The fairytale has gone wrong! Yo Yo Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar has lodged an FIR against her husband and his family alleging domestic violence, sexual violence, and financial fraud. She further pleaded in Delhi’s Tis Hazira court under the ‘protection of Women from Domestic  Violence Act. The case was registered on 3rd August.  Shalini Talwar was represented in court by advocate Sandeep Kaur, Apoorva Pandey, and GG Kashyap of law firm Karanjawala & Co. In this case, ANI has tweeted, “Case filed against Bollywood singer & actor ‘Yo Yo Honey Singh (Hirdesh Singh) by his wife Shalini Talwar under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has issued notice to the singer and sought his response over it.” The court took note of Talwar’s complaint and has issued a notice to Honey Singh to file his reply by August 28. Chief Metropolitan magistrate Tania Singh has issued a notice to Singh directing him not to alienate or create any third-party rights in their jointly owned property in Noida or dispose of his wife’s jewelry and other jointly owned marital things as well.

 

Who is Yo Yo Honey Singh?

 

Hirdesh Singh alias Yo Yo Honey Singh is an Indian Music producer, composer, rapper, pop singer, lyricist, and film actor too. He started his career in 2003 as a session and recording artist and became a hip pop and bhangra music producer. He is one of the highest-paid and most successful musical artists in the Indian music Industry. His debut song in Bollywood film was ‘Shakal Pe Mat Ja’ featuring Ganga Sindhu. Honey Singh became a viral name after his song ‘Angrezi beat’ from the movie ‘Cocktail’ featuring Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. The track ‘Gabru’ composed by him has topped the Asian Music charts including the official BBC Asian charts in 2011. Also earned two places on Youtube’s list of top 10 trending videos of 2012. He was also awarded as ‘best music director’ by PTC Punjab three times. He won UK Asian Music Awards and Brit Asia TV Music Award too.

Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar tied their knots back on January 23, 2011, at a Delhi gurudwara, after secretly dating each other for almost two decades. His fans got to know his marital status in2014 when Honey Singh introduced his wife to the world for the very first time on a reality show. Surprisingly, the rapper and his wife had graced an episode of a reality show named India’s Rawstar. This was around the same time when Singh’s name was being named with a girl named Deena Uppal .

Deena was a popular face of several reality shows like Fear Factor and Khatron Ke Khiladi. Honey Singh had multiple health issues including bipolar disorder. Honey Singh also had a challenging time to cope up with his health issues. His wife was always there with him and supported him even in her bad times. However, he was never bothered by these ongoing link-up rumors.  In an interview, Honey Singh started his relationship with his wife Shalini by saying, “She is my friend and I will always listen to her no matter what because today I have realized that she is very important and always right about everything”.

According to the report published in Free Press Journal, Talwar’s 118 pages long complaint has mentioned numerous incidents of physical, mental, emotional, and verbal abuse against her over the last 10 years. She has alleged that the rapper became rude and aggressive after his career reached its peak. She also reportedly alleged that Honey Singh panicked and mercilessly beat her after the pictures of their wedding ceremony had circulated on social media. She has stated in the plea that he did this in order to conceal the existence of his marital life.  She also claimed that she is constantly living under fear as Singh and his family have threatened her with physical harm.  “Due to mental harassment and cruelty imposed upon her over a period of time, she also suffered from symptoms of depression and sought medical help,” she stated in her plea.

The plea also includes Honey Singh’s extramarital affairs. Talwar has accused that Singh was having a sexual relationship with multiple women and did not even wear his wedding ring. She has mentioned that Honey Singh was involved with one of his female colleagues from the shoot of the super hit song ‘Brown Rang De’. Talwar has stated that Singh has thrown liquor bottles at her when she confronted him about this.

 

Singh’s family is also not out of her allegations. Talwar also claimed that, once her father-in-law walked into her room in inebriated condition while she was changing her clothes and gazed his hand over her chest. She has accused Singh of getting addicted to alcohol and anabolic drugs as well.

Their disrupted relationship has a slight depiction on social media too. The rapper, who is known for his party tracks, has not shared any photos with his wife recently on Instagram and vice versa. Before filing a case against her husband, Shalini had shared some creepy posts regarding mental and physical abuse, lying, and atrocities against women.  Netizens showed concern for her and asked if she is fine or not. The post that triggered the most worry consists, “No matter which category of society we belong to, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, whether you are famous or not the plight of a woman is the same in the face of atrocities. #harshreality #narcissisticabuse”.

Yo Yo Honey Singh has recently posted a Instagram post stated that The allegation was stated by her wife is completely false and malicious. He has labeled the allegations are cynical and defaming in nature. “ I strongly refute all the allegations but will not comment any further because the matter is sub-judice before the Court of Law. I have full faith in judicial system of this country, and I am confident that the truth will be out soon. The allegations are subject to be proven and the Honorable Court has provided me with an opportunity to reply to such allegations. In the meantime I humbly request my fans and public at large to not to draw any conclusion about me and my family until the Honorable Court pronounces a verdict after hearing both the sides. I am confident that justice will be served and honestly will win. As always I am grateful for all the love and support from my fans and well wishers, who inspires me to work hard and make good music” he concluded.

Shalini has now demanded a compensation of Rs 20 crores for perpetrating domestic violence on her. She prayed the court to order the singer to pay a rent of Rs 5lakhs every month for fully furnished accommodation in Delhi to enable a convincing living for herself and not remain dependent on her widowed mother.
