In a low-key wedding in Himachal Pradesh, actor Yami Gautam married Uri director Aditya Dhar. Aditya and Yami collaborated on the film Uri: The Surgical Strike, which he directed in 2019. In the company of their close family and friends, the couple tied the knot on June 4, choosing a traditional Himachali wedding over a glamorous and larger-than-life ceremony. Yami Gautam shared a slew of images from the wedding and events on her Instagram account. “With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in a small wedding ceremony today,” she wrote with a photo of the couple from their wedding day. “We celebrated this wonderful occasion with our immediate family because we are pretty private individuals. We ask for all of your prayers and good wishes as we embark on this path of love and friendship.” She then used Instagram to share images from other events such as Mehendi and Haldi. She also shared a photo of herself after the wedding, in which she is dressed in a red saree with vermillion and mangalsutra.

She wore a crimson silk saree with gold work and a matching dupatta to cover her head for her wedding. A choker, a long necklace, a pahadi nath, and a maang tika were among Yami’s traditional accessories. She was also wearing a lovely golden kalire and a traditional chooda on her wrist. She kept her makeup basic, opting for red lipstick and vermillion to finish the look (sindoor). Aditya Dhar, on the other hand, wore a white sherwani.

Yami uploaded a reel from her choora ceremony on Instagram. In the crimson saree she wore for the wedding, Yami shone. With sister and actress Surilie by her side, she can be seen beaming from ear to ear. Yami just added a couple of heart emojis. There is no need for a caption. Wedding details revealed by the wedding planner

Gitesh Sharma, their wedding planner, has revealed details of the low-key wedding. “A day before their wedding rites [sangeet and mehndi], Yami’s father approached us. For the rituals, the Gautams brought their own family pandit [priest] from Bilaspur or Hamirpur,” he claimed.

Gitesh talked about Yami and Aditya’s intimate outdoor wedding. “They were adamant that they didn’t want a glitzy, extravagant wedding. Instead, they desired that the rituals be held in a natural and traditional manner, as is customary in their hometowns. In front of a deodhar tree, they wedded. The mandap was decked out in marigold flowers and banana leaves, with a gold-and-white colour scheme running throughout. Following the wedding, a small reception with family members was held in the evening.” He explained that the mehndi was held in the courtyard. Following the wedding, a traditional Mandi dham meal was served.

Current Status in Bollywood

Yami Gautam made her Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, after appearing in TV serials and advertisements. The actress most recently acted alongside Vikrant Massey in Netflix’s Ginny Weds Sunny. Bala, Heo, Yuddham, Badlapur, Sanam Re, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Kaabil, and Uri: The Surgical Strike are among her films.
