Raid at their Mansion
As part of the ongoing investigation, cops stormed Raj and Shilpa Shetty’s luxurious Juhu mansion on July 23. Shilpa Shetty allegedly shouted at Raj Kundra when the Mumbai Police arrived at their home for a search, according to a storey on NDTV. The actress questioned her 45-year-old husband, asking why he was doing all of this when they already had everything they needed. According to reports, Shilpa Shetty cried when she saw Raj Kundra and said that the family’s reputation had been tarnished and that their endorsements in the business had been revoked. In addition to financial losses, the actress is said to have had to drop various projects as a result of the scandal.
When the Crime Branch searched their home in connection with the pornographic racket case, actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra had a massive dispute, and the actress broke down in tears, saying she was oblivious of her husband’s behaviour, according to Mumbai Police sources on Monday.

Shilpa Questioned by Cops
“Shilpa Shetty was also questioned the day the crime department escorted Raj Kundra to his Mumbai house for searches. After the interrogation, Shilpa was quite upset. She and Kundra had a heated dispute in which she yelled at him and demanded to know why he was doing such a thing and why he was doing anything. To appease the actress, the Crime Branch team had to intercede between the couple “according to the sources.
They said Shetty sobbed in front of the cops and told them Kundra had kept her in the dark about the app’s content and she had no idea what was going on.
“Shilpa, distraught, told Kundra that his actions had tarnished the family brand, and their endorsements in the industry have been cancelled, resulting in significant financial losses for the family. She questioned why they needed to do such things once they had established themselves in society “Additional information was provided by Mumbai police sources.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, Kundra was expecting his arrest when the Mumbai Crime Branch’s property department arrested nine people in connection with the pornographic racket case in March.
“Kundra had switched phones in March, and no data could be recovered. He informed Crime Branch officials he tossed away his old phone when they asked about it. The ancient phone, police believe, holds numerous vital pieces of evidence, and they are on the lookout for it “according to sources.
They went on to say that an inquiry found Kundra has a “Plan B” ready to get out of the criminal investigation. Meanwhile, the Crime Branch has hired a financial auditor to look into Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty’s money trail and their involvement in the pornographic ring.
“The Crime Branch discovered transactions worth crores from Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s joint account throughout the probe. The Crime Branch believes that profits from the apps ‘Hotshots’ and ‘Bolly Fame’ went into this account “according to the sources.
Shilpa Shetty’s statement was also recorded by the cops while the raids were taking place. According to reports, the actress has stated that “erotica” is not the same as “porn,” of which her husband has been accused, and that he is not involved in the production of pornographic material. Raj Kundra’s counsel further said that classifying the information as pornography would be incorrect, as well as objecting to the use of Section 67A of the Information Technology Act. According to him, these rules classify “real intercourse” as porn, while everything else is considered as obscene content and cannot be classified as porn.
Latest Developments in The Case

Raj Kundra’s laptop and a SAN (Storage Area Network) box were also confiscated by Mumbai Police. “We accessed 48 TB data,” officials informed TOI. On Raj Kundra’s orders, huge amounts of material were destroyed after our case was filed. More data was also destroyed after Kundra’s arrest.” Raj Kundra’s lawyers have requested for release while he remains in judicial custody, and the hearing is set for July 29.
