Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif are giddy with anticipation for their upcoming collaboration in Farhan Akhtar’s road-trip movie Jee Le Zaraa. Following the director-actor, the actresses rushed to social media to express their delight and share their experiences working on the film. They also uploaded a group photo of the three of them.
Three Girls Come Together For a Dream, Says Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt stated that she and Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra collaborated on a project two years ago. That desire has come true for Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Ritesh Sidhwani, and they will immediately begin work on Jee Le Zaraa. Farhan will helm the film, which will take place on a road journey
y. “2 years ago,” Alia captioned a snapshot of the two of them. Three young women gathered together with a single goal in mind. There was only one place to go to make that fantasy come true: @faroutakhtar @zoieakhtar @reemakagti1 @ritesh sid, 4 of the funniest dream-makers and storytellers in the biz. Now it’s your turn. After 50 Zoom calls, I’m done. After that, there was a lot of laughter. With hearts brimming with love and anticipation. Here we are. #JeeLeZaraa (sic).”
A Long Note from Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra wrote a lengthy letter in which she detailed the full scenario behind Jee Le Zaraa. The three women met in Katrina Kaif’s home in Mumbai in 2020 to discuss their dream project, according to the actress. “Let’s rewind to me ruminating about wanting to do another Hindi film ASAP, on an exceptionally rainy night in Mumbai in November 2019,” she wrote. But it has to be the right one – unique, cool, and never done before, I reasoned. The concept blossomed into a film with an all-female cast. There aren’t enough female multi-starrers in Hindi films. This prompted me to make an impetuous phone call to my two genuine pals to tell them about this notion involving three on-screen girlfriends. We termed it a friendship celebration!! (sic).”
“Katrina, Alia, and I eagerly gathered in February 2020 (as seen in this photo), just before the world shut down, to decide who we could trust to bring this vision to life for us, and our unanimous decision was Farhan and Ritesh, Zoya and Reema,” she continued. We’d all worked with @excelmovies and @tigerbabyfilms before, so this seemed like a natural fit. Farhan was, coincidentally, working on a female road trip film at the same time! What a constellation of stars!! (sic).”
“And now we’ve arrived in #JeeLeZaraa. It only took three years to coordinate all of our schedules, but we persevered and succeeded! This one is dedicated to sisterhood, friendship, and defying stereotypes!! I can’t wait to travel with Aloo and Katty. My heart is giddy with joy. I’ll see you at the movies, “she came to a conclusion.
Katrina Kaif Expresses her Love for These Co-Actresses
Katrina Kaif, like Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt, shared her thoughts on this fantastic cooperation with their photo. She penned, “This brings a grin to my face. I like these gals, and being around them is always so much fun – add in a terrific script, an amazing director, a road trip, and a video camera, and the sky’s the limit (sic).”
On the Work Front
Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Ritesh Sidhwani have collaborated on many films with Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra. Alia appeared in Zoya’s film Gully Boy, which she directed. In Dil Dhadakne Do, Priyanka worked. Katrina, on the other hand, appeared in another road movie, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
